Wonder Walks are 1:1 and 2:1 guided hikes through the trails of Park City — with a mindfulness component woven through every step.

A Wonder Walk isn't about distance or intensity. It's about noticing, breathing, and allowing movement to spark presence and joy. We set an intention before we head out, move with curiosity on the trail, pause at the good spots, and talk about what's coming up for you.

An invitation to get out of your head, into your body, and back to the part of yourself that already knows what it needs. Movement as self-love. Nature as medicine. Joy as fuel.

The science of wonder & awe

Wonder and awe aren't just nice feelings — they're medicine. Research from UC Berkeley shows that experiences of awe reduce stress hormones, quiet the nervous system, and lower inflammation in the body. Even a few minutes of genuine awe can shift your mood, expand your sense of time, and make you feel more connected to something larger than yourself.

Psychologist Dacher Keltner calls it the "small self" effect — when we encounter something vast or beautiful, our ego softens. We stop ruminating. We get present. Studies show that people who experience awe regularly report higher levels of life satisfaction, more generosity, and a deeper sense of meaning.

I'm the founder of Stoke Coach, based in Park City. My work goes beyond personal training — it's holistic wellness coaching that helps people create intentional rituals for a more joyful, grounded life.

For me, fitness isn't only about building strength. It's a tool for something deeper. I guide people to weave together movement, mindfulness, outdoor adventure, and play into rituals that become pathways back to self-love, to nature, and to joy.

Wonder Walks are one of my favorite things to share — a reminder that wellness doesn't have to be complicated. All you need is yourself and the outdoors. I can't wait to take you out there.
