Approachable WooWoo Part 1

Sometimes, I find myself caught up in the way our society categorizes things, particularly in the realm of wellness. The labels we attach to certain practices can deter us from exploring them fully, fearing how others might judge us. I've noticed that practices labeled as "woo" or mystical are often dismissed as strange or impractical, relegated to the realm of placebos or unscientific beliefs.

However, my perspective differs. I believe in the concept of energy— that there's an unseen force flowing through everything, shaping our interactions and experiences. We deal in energy - we give it and take it and it's not easily explained, but it's undeniable. For too long, I ignored or dismissed this aspect of life, perhaps due to societal perceptions or the fear of being labeled as eccentric.

As I’ve been doing some personal growth work this year that’s been about intentionality and curiosity into my true essence, my patterns, and the interconnectedness of humanity to each other and nature - I fully believe that the mystical is real and that there are practices that tap into it to help us tap into those ethereal things about ourselves - getting rid of the noise to show us our authentic selves. It’s the mystical that gets us out of our heads and into our hearts and lets our ego not be so tied to the way we see ourselves or the way the world perceives us

In my journey, I've observed how practices like yoga, meditation, or even working with crystals have been commodified or misunderstood. They're not merely wellness trends; they can be profound tools for holistic well-being, rooted in ancient traditions from the East and Indigenous cultures.

It's a shame that we've marginalized these practices out of fear or a desire for control. There's immense healing potential in embracing them with reverence and curiosity, rather than disdain. I seek to challenge the stigma surrounding the mystical, making it more accessible and understandable for myself and those around me.

Through all these practices - yoga, plant medicine, fitness, meditation, therapy, journaling, moon ceremonies - I’ve noticed people just want to FEEL better in their bodies and in their minds.

By reframing the narrative around the "woo," we can reclaim these valuable tools for reconnecting with ourselves and with nature, returning to the roots of human existence.
